On June 12 2008, Simon & Schuster announced that Madonna’s younger brother, Christopher Ciccone, would be writing a memoir about his famous sister.

“Ciccone’s extraordinary memoir is based on his life and 47 years of growing up with and working with his sister-the most famous woman in the world,” the company said in a press release.

The publishing house ordered a first printing of 350,000 copies of Life With My Sister, to be released on July 15, 2008.

When asked, Madonna’s publicist, Liz Rosenberg, said there would be no comment “at this time.”

Have you read Christopher’s book on Madonna? What did you think?

  1. I ONLY skimmed through its pages but the way her brother dished dirt on Madonna was a travesty! I will not buy or read the book because I do not want to let Madonna down!

  2. I could be wrong, but Christopher isn’t Madonna’s youngest brother. I think he might be the 2nd or 3rd brother. Mario, her half-brother, is the youngest brother.

    • You’re correct, Christopher is her youngest “full” brother but her half-brother Mario is technically her youngest brother. I’ll change the wording of the post to make it more clear. Thanks for bringing this to our attention! 🙂

  3. I loved the book.It is very candid and honest writing. He debunks a lot of popular myths about his sister along the way. This book puts Madonna into a somewhat different perspective than the reader may have held before reading it.Christopher actually gave me quite an education about her in many different aspects of her personal life growing up,as well as her musical career and his relationship with his sister.
