On November 26 1992, a Paris Catholic group called Avenir de la Culture (The Future Of Culture) filed 2 lawsuits against Madonna and her publisher for corrupting the French youth with pornography and to have all copies of the SEX book destroyed.
The lawyer representing the group had this to say about SEX:
“The book is part of a destructive trend which shocks the morals of young people.”
On November 25 1995, Madonna’s greatest ballads collection, Something To Remember, hit #6 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart in the USA.
Madonna worked with David Foster on two of the three new songs for the collection: You’ll See and One More Chance.
Foster had this to say about working with Madonna:
“She had an amazing work ethic. She was on time every day and was really co-producing the songs with me. A lot of artists want to produce just because they can, and they don’t do a thing for the credit, which I really hate. But Madonna worked as hard as any producer I know … I liked the whole experience of working with her—the punctuality, the professionalism, and the sexiness.”
On November 24 1990, Madonna’s first greatest hits collection, The Immaculate Collection, hit #1 on the UK album chart, and was the biggest selling album in the UK by a female (certified 12x platinum for sales of 3.7-million copies) until Adele’s 21 took over the top spot (certified 16x platinum for sales of 5-million copies).
On November 23 1989, Madonna won the Billboard Music Award for Top Adult Contemporary Artist.
On November 22 1986, Madonna’s True Blue single peaked at #5 on Billboard’s Hot Adult Contemporary chart in the USA. The hit single would eventually spend 16 weeks on the AC chart.
On November 21 2000, the second single from Madonna’s Music album, Don’t Tell Me, was released by Maverick Records. The b-side for Don’t Tell Me was Cyber-Raga.
During an interview for Interview Magazine, in March 2001, Madonna discussed the lyrics for Don’t Tell Me:
“To me it is a romantic song. Just, you know, rip my skin off, do not tell me who I should love, or how I should love. Don’t tell me to give up. To me, in a way it’s like that Frank Sinatra song, ‘If I can make it there, I’ll make it anywhere’.”

On November 20 1998, the U.K.’s Channel 4 aired a Madonna interview conducted by Johnny Vaughan. The special was titled Johnny Meets Madonna and was part of Madonna’s European promotional campaign for The Power Of Good-Bye and the Ray Of Light album.
