On May 9 1991, a new music video for Like A Virgin featuring live and behind-the-scenes footage was released exclusively to MTV in the U.S. to promote the film Truth Or Dare. Outside the U.S., video channels were instead serviced with a live video for Holiday (which was eventually issued within the U.S. as well).
The Truth Or Dare clip for Like A Virgin was nominated for two MTV Video Music Awards in 1991: Best Choreography and Best Female Video. It marked the third time that a video for Like A Virgin had been nominated for an MTV Video Music Award for Best Choreography. The original video received three nominations in 1985 including a nod for best Choreography, and another live clip (which was also released exclusively to MTV) to promote the home video release of The Virgin Tour was also nominated in the category in 1986. Despite the numerous nominations, none of the three videos for Like A Virgin garnered any trophies from MTV.

On May 6 2019, Madonna officially announced the Madame X Tour. The tour includes intimate theatre performances in the following cities (additional dates and venues to be announced):
- Brooklyn Academy of Music (New York – 12 shows) – September 12/14/15/17/19/21/22/24/25/26/28 and October 1
- The Chicago Theatre (Chicago – 4 shows) – October 15/16/17 and 21
- The Wiltern (Los Angeles – 9 shows) – November 12/13/14/16/17/21/23/24 and 25
- The Colosseum at Caesars Palace (Las Vegas) – dates to be announced
- Boch Center Wang Theatre (Boston) – dates to be announced
- Metropolitan Opera House (Philadelphia) – dates to be announced
- Jackie Gleason Theatre (Miami) – dates to be announced
The tour will continue in 2020 with performances at the Coliseum in Lisbon, the Palladium in London and at the Grand Rex in Paris.

On May 4 2015, Madonna attended the Met Ball wearing Moschino. The theme of the 2015 Costume Institute Gala Benefit was celebrating the opening of the China: Through the Looking Glass exhibit. The benefit was co-chaired by Jennifer Lawrence, Gong Li and Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
Madonna was spotted on the red carpet with Tom Ford, Rita Ora and Diplo. She was later photographed snuggling with Katy Perry and Lady Gaga.
