The late writer and friend Jimmy Guterman actually loved Madonna-via request of author Tim Riley who wrote one of the better Madonna books Madonna Illustrated-it badly needs an update!-anyway one of the things I loved about Mr. Guterman is that would not stand for cliches-my guess is that Jimmy was fond of her two records about her spiritual hour Like a Prayer and Ray of Light.
