On February 13 2001, Guy Ritchie announced that he and Madonna were planning to work together on her new music video for What It Feels Like For A Girl.
Guy had this to say about Madonna: “Creatively, we like the same sort of things, so it just makes sense to work together.”
When asked if he and Madonna would work together on a full-length movie, Guy commented, “I’d like to work with the missus, but there’s nothing in the pipeline at the moment.”

What It Feels Like for a Girl-Brilliant ballad for Lola but also the beginning of the end for Madonna as a chart presence! It only reached #23 at Billboard and the violent video didn’t help!
That’s surprising that the song didn’t chart higher. The video didn’t even use the song, which had to hurt the promotion. I didn’t know it didn’t crack the Top 10 though, much less the Top 20.
