On December 11 2009, Madonna’s official website announced that Revolver would be released as the second single from the deluxe edition of her greatest hits collection, Celebration. The digital maxi-single would be released on December 29th, with the CD maxi-single hitting North American stores in late January and a vinyl 12″ following in early February 2010. This would be Madonna’s final single release under her contract with Warner Bros. Records.
Another overlooked gem due to no video. Rescue Me repeating.
Think of Revolver as the starter kit to what would come on Madonna’s first Universal artwork MDNA with several songs portending to the end of her second marriage! Revolver’s sequel-the mea culpa ballad I Freaked Up,
She should’ve made a video for this song. This is what kills these gem songs like Rescue Me, One more Chance, Impressive Instant, The Look of Love, and her last single I don’t search I find. Also, with not having any new music on GHV2 killed the sales of that album. Madge has so many songs in the vault that she didn’t even have to record new songs for GHV2, but could’ve chosen 2 or 3. Now that she’s finished her 10 year deal with Interscope, i believe she’ll release another Hits package. If so i hope she listens to the fans this time.
