On June 23, 1990, Madonna’s “I’m Breathless: Music from and Inspired by the Film Dick Tracy” hit #2 in the USA.

After the filming of “Dick Tracy” was complete, Madonna began work on the film’s soundrack, with songwriter Stephen Sondheim, producer Patrick Leonard and engineer Bill Bottrell. She also worked with producer Shep Pettibone on the album’s first single, “Vogue“. The album was recorded in three weeks in California.

  1. I Love I’m Breathless! Madonna at her most fun and stylish! Key Chapters-Sooner or Later,
Something to Remember and Vogue! I’m Breathless is where Madonna reaches Immortality and Brilliance!
    Classic Ciccone!

  2. I love the lp too. Sooner or later should have been single number three with footage of the film as the promo vid. The lp was underpromoted with just 2 singles.
